What Is Baptism?

"For it is by grace you have been saved through faith. and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." Ephesians 2:8-9

Baptism is a multi-faceted sign which visibly depicts the truth of the gospel and a seal which confirms that saving grace is only in Christ. It is also a sign and seal of our union with Christ (1 Corinthians 1:30), who makes all things new, and by it, our fellowship with God the Trinity is proclaimed (1 John 1:3, 5:6-12).

Why Do We Baptize?

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” Matthew 28:18-20

We baptize because Jesus commanded us to baptize.
