Disaster relief

Monetary donations can be sent to Covenant Presbyterian Church, or brought to the church office Monday through Thursday between 9:00 am- 5:00 pm. You can also drop your donation in the offering plate on Sunday morning. Please make checks out to Covenant Presbyterian Church with the memo of Deacon’s Fund or Disaster Relief.

It takes resources to restore and recover. The donations we receive will be used where they are needed most. Our Diaconate is diligently seeking out opportunities and prayerfully considering how these funds should be utilized.

You can help with the relief efforts by signing up to volunteer with Samaritan’s Purse or visiting a Volunteer Center set up by the Lee County EMA.

Collection locations for donations can be found on the Lee County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) facebook page or website. Please do not bring any donations to Covenant.

Other Ways to Help

Please continue to pray for the families affected by this disaster.

Bob Norman has organized a group to build another “Shed of Hope” sometime in April. Contact Bob Norman at 334-319-2251 if you want to help.

What NOT To Do

Please do not bring any tangible donations or food items to Covenant. We are not a designated drop off or distribution point.

Please do not try and go out on your own as an individual to help; there are organizations already working to organize groups of volunteers that you should work with. We have listed both Samaritan’s Purse and Lee County EMA as options. The Red Cross, FEMA, and the Small Business Administration are also working diligently with effort reliefs.

Please do not take everything you read on social media as fact before verifying that information with authorized sources such as the Lee County EMA website and facebook page which are the best sources for accurate, updated information.
